Olympic History:
Bolivia has been a member of the IOC since 1936 and has never won an Olympic medal. Only Liechtenstein (1935) has been an IOC member for longer without having earned a medal (Afghanistan and Malta also joined in 1936 and seek their first Olympic medals).

Had a single swimmer at the 1936 Games, but did not compete again until 1964. Has competed in every Olympics since then, except for 1980, when it boycotted. Had seven athletes compete in Athens.
